ProWein is regarded as the world’s leading trade fair for wines and spirits and the largest industry meeting for professionals from viticulture, production, trade and gastronomy.
The fair is not open to the general public, but is aimed at registered trade visitors from retail, gastronomy, hospitality, import, export and relevant industry institutions.
ProWein 2026 recorded 31,000 trade visitors, 3,400 exhibitors and 63 exhibiting countries, confirming its strong international role in the wine and spirits trade.
ProWein combines tasting, portfolio presentation, expert discussions, matchmaking and an ancillary programme in three intensive trade fair days with a clear decision-maker focus.
One open side. Cost-efficient for focused assortments, individual wineries, specialised importers, no-/low-alcohol offers, services or compact consultation.
Two open sides. Useful for greater visibility when tasting counters, brand walls, product lines or consultation tables should be visible from several visitor routes.
Three open sides. Strong for providers with several topic clusters, such as wine regions, sparkling wine, spirits, no-/low-alcohol, services and retail portfolios.
Four open sides, freestanding in the hall. Ideal for large country pavilions, international brand worlds, extensive tastings, press formats and intensive B2B appointments.

ProWein 2027 will take place from 7 to 9 March 2027 at Messe Düsseldorf. The fair uses Halls 1, 3 to 7 and 7a. It is open exclusively to registered trade visitors and brings the international wine and spirits industry together in Düsseldorf.
The focus is on wines by growing region, sparkling wines, ProSpirits, no- and low-alcohol wines, accessories, trade literature, services, mineral water, bulk wine and white label. The fair is complemented by tasting formats, business programmes, matchmaking and specialist impulses for retail, gastronomy and international distribution.
For exhibitors, this means that the stand must structure assortments clearly, enable efficient tastings and support high-value conversations with buyers, importers, sommeliers and trade partners. Clear visitor routing, functional tasting areas, quiet meeting zones, good storage logic and a stand concept that convincingly connects origin, quality and sales relevance are particularly important.
